Just a Day in the Life of Me.

I have nothing at all to say other than it is a day with
no wind which is very unusual. I got one teeny little tomato that had fallen off the vine. I was surprised that
it had made the effort.

I had a wonderful shopping trip yesterday and was able to
get a lot of little clothes for Sara's baby. It was fun to
get out, however Ted was on the phone twice wondering what
we were doing that took so long. We left at 9:45 and didn't
get home until after five. I have never seen Rex sulk so
badly. He is used to Mom being home most of the time. I
will never believe Golden Retrievers are beautiful but
dumb because he manipulates us so sucessfully.

We ate lunch at Chica's and it was excellent. Mexican food
of course.

I have had such a time with Avis. She is losing it and it
really is time for her to go. Phyllis is pulling her
hair out because Avis can't find her trust documents. Since
Avis daughter is a hateful witch and they don't get along,
I suggested to Avis that she stay in her apartment and not
be with the family so much. She fails to see that having
another person in your house is usually a problem and
especially when they can't see or hear well, talk continually and keep repeating themselves. I also suggested
that she ups some of her personal things so her daughter's
apartment would feel like home. No such luck, Avis had
pinched pennies so long and this is a woman who sent 3 kids
to college, one to Harvard and has since saved half a
million dollars...she is unable to let go and I am seriously
worried that she isn't eating enough. I sent leftovers
from lunch home with her, and I will take something over
later in the day.

I have cleaned a lot today and have more to do. Have a
wonderful holiday.

Big hugs to you.

My dogs are so funny. They bark up a storm when I go to leave the house. They even bark in protest if I leave the room for too long. (I have gates up so they have to stay in the family room/kitchen.)
I hope I am not a cranky old woman and can always take care of myself.

Remind me of your connection to Avis. Also, how old is she? Sorry she is having a difficult time. Ed always sulks when I am gone a long time. I don't travel to New York since I lost my friend/teacher but when I did, he would pick me up from the airport and be a sourpuss all the way home. After all, he had to make his own coffee and clean the litter.

I met Avis when Linda was five. I was pregnant with complications and she took me to the doctor every single day. We just had one car and my husband
had to use it for work. I will never forget her kindness. We have been
friends for 55 years, so if she is difficult now, I can put up wit h it
and be helpful. I gave her a rally nice goodbye gift which she barely
acknowledged so I hope she doesn't forget who gave it to her.

Sounds like you're keeping yourself busy. Stay cool this weekend.

I am used to Oklahoma summers. This one is a real bummer and I am
wondering if perhaps we are going to have an early fall. The weather
patterns have changed so much.

I swear, Donna is jealous of the boyz sometimes.. I drove off in a hurry the other day with my buddy to pick up a part for the mower we were working on, and I left the boyz on the deck. They were inside when I got back and I asked Donna why. She said Buster (coonhound) was crying so loud when I left that she had to bring them in to calm him down... But I suppose loyalty is part of the reason why we have them...

They are so wonderful. Rex had to have a lot of tlc before he would eat
his dinner. I love hounds. We had a red bone hound once and he was
delightful. Tell Donna the boyz love her too.

No wind!!?? I hardly got past that part. Have fun shopping for that baby. Our girl already has more clothes than me and she hasn't even been born yet. I'll have to try El Chico's. Jenn's not a big fan of Tex-Mex, but I really like it.

It was Chica's not El Chico and it is somewhere around 63d. They have outdoor seating that would be pleasant in the fall but it is a long way to
go. They have good salads so Jenny might like it.

Been hearing a lot about the tomato plants of flowers falling off.
Not sure why.You and Ted have a great holiday weekend.

Think of l00 degrees and over, every single days. That is why we
worship the A/C.
