The Great Screen Writer in the Sky

This post is especially for Randy. I read this today and
it was too delicious to keep to myself.

"I will be sorry to leave this life, as soon I must. It
is so full of wonder, as well as horror. A surprise around
every cornor and the pace is hotting up. He is the one who
got the commission to script the story of the world. He is
a B picture writer by nature, that's the trouble, his sights
are set so low. If he gets into a plot difficulty, he does something spectacular and thoroughly unlikely; sinks the Titanic, explodes Krakatoa, kills Kennedy, thinks up watergate, pulls down the Berlin Wall and his latest plot
extravaganza is to bring captilism tumbling down by way of
the Fourth Estate. excerpted from
Chalcot Crescent by Fay Weldon.

This is a witty book as Fay Weldon's usually are. Perhaps Randy will find this funny.

When you analyze the "deity" by standards of common sense, he doesn't hold up at all. duh.

You should read this witty and scathing book. The premise is unusual.

The book is now on my library list (or Amazon). We'll make a nonbeliever out of you yet, Jeri!

I do not object at all to those who do not believe in God. We each have but one time around and do what we must to enjoy life- or endure it. Yes, life is about choices. I do not judge others by their faith (or lack thereof). I judge them by their compassion, tolerance and ability to love.

Didn't you realize that I am an agnostic? I respect Jerms and Dottie too much and may I say that I envy their ability to believe for me to
dis their belief. I am quite sure that this life is all their is even as I
am on the threshold of leaving it. Society provides the punishment for wrong doers, remember the scarlet letter A that poor Hester was forced
to wear. I have been lucky in my life and have made some poor choices but
I got a brain that makes a lot of serotonin and was able to get back up and
go on with my life. It seems to me that life is all about choices and
fate.

That's a cute way to put it.
