A Great Movie, Shopping Etc.

OMG, but I have been a busy woman on a stifling day. I didn't
get my chores done, my Sunday paper read and my hair washed
until the afternoon and it was horribly hot. The car didn't
cool off before the next stop.

Office Depot advertised computer paper for a dollar a ream.
When I got to the counter with it, I found out you had to
wait for a rebate and you can get it all day long at Big
Lots for two dollars a ream so I declined.

Then I had to make CVS, Aldi's, the Dollar Tree and Crest
foods. I had been getting milk at Aldi's but Ted said he
didn't care what I paid for it, he wanted our local dairy's
brand which is why I had to go to Crest. By the time I
had put everything away, I was so exhausted that I enhanced
a frozen pizza and that was dinner with Lindor Truffles for
dessert. And yes, I over indulged.

Tomorrow, I will try to get a few things straight at the
bank and start calling the utility companies with our new
number.

It's a great life if you don't weaken but I have only
the watering left to do when it is a bit cooler tonight.

The mystery with the neighbors continues. He left yesterday and she and the grandchildren & kids and family
took over the house for a birthday celebration in the pool. He came back home this morning. I feel a little
sorry for him. His wife and kids want nothing to do with
him so it must have been an unforgivable offense. They
all went home last night.

That is so sad about the need to change bank accounts. I hope that person gets caught!

I ran out of milk the other day and stirred in whey protein powder into water. Tasted just like skim! So I'm thinking..... I'll still shop at Aldi.

Thanks for your kind, understanding comment, Jeri. On the fibro/CFS medical news front, yes, two new drugs are approved by the FDA, and one about to finish the approval process. The latest to be approved, Cymbalta, has been a blessing for me. But sadly even with meds, the conditions are quite debilitating. And the meds only help about 25 percent of the 9-plus million in the U.S. with these chronic illnesses. Much more work needs to be done. Progress in research is slow going. Thank you again for your kind concern.

I majored in food science in college and still remember the lesson on flavor defects in milk. 'Grassy' was one of them. Some renters left the last of a half gallon of organic skim milk here, and it didn't taste at all like our usual skim milk.

I remember the grassy taste that milk gets in the summer and sometimes it
is weedy when the cows eat weeds.

What happen to the movie?

I forgot to tell about it. It was excellent. A dangerous woman was the name
of it. She had two choices...to be a courtesan or to be a nun, She didn't
choose the nunnery.

we have some "neighbors" here at Shady Pines who have some odd goings on too. seems like the Cow Snot Housing Authority uses this as a dumping ground for all of the weirdos.

Never you Bugg! I feel sorry and sad for this couple. They had a lot
going for them and whatever he did it was bad.

I like to spend hot afternoons lounging in our cool, finished basement. Please share the secret of where you get all your energy from.

I don't know. Right now I am thinking about trimming the holly a little
more.

my mom always says, it's a great life if you can take it. do you get to relax tomorrow? you got more done in one day that most people do in a week!

No, I spent yesterday trying to contact the insurance companies and utility
companies who debited from our bank account. I had most of it done by noon
today so I got to clean house. It really gets dirty if I don't stay on
top of it.

I'm send Three Cheers for your energy as you charged through such a busy day! I remember having days like that, taking my energy for granted really, before fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue made me permanently revamp my daily To Do List 20 years ago. Bravo to you!
