Exhausted

Ted and I spent the afternoon at O. U. Medical Center and
he had a very rewarding visit with the Otolarangologist.
She wants to do more testing because he has not recovered
his sense of taste or smell She is a very good doctor and
we were glad we went. She removed a large amount of clotted
blood from his ear which helped a lot.

Tomorrow, I have to pick Ashley and Adrienne up at seven,
get them fed and to school and get home in time to make
Ted's appointment with the neurosurgeon at nine. Ellie and
Bobby have to be at Baptist Hospital at seven for his surgery
at l:00 p.m.

Then I don't even have time to be anxious about Bobby because Linda will call every 5 minutes for an update and
I have to feed the children and get them to their Halloween
activities. I am so tired of medical emergencies and visits
to Doctors. I had planned to spend the night at the hospital with Bobby but I may be too tired. Ted has countless future appointments and the one I dread the most
is the extraction of his lower teeth and immediate fitting
of dentures. He will complain forever about the fit.

Keep your fingers crossed for Bobby. He has been through
so much and I am hoping this surgery is not as bad as he
expects.

Oh, poor Bobby! So glad your health is good or it would all be completely unbearable.

He came through the surgery ok and even as I write, I am making chicken soup
and baked him a chocolate pie. For some reason that I don't understand, my kids love chocolate meringue pie and prefer it to all other kinds.

Give Bobby my best wishes --don' envy the teeth though-- having them put in like this can be a headache and cause another visit to dentist for reline when the gums have shrunk.
When do you get a chance to slow down and look after your self --reckon you deserve a medal

After I take soup and pie over to the invalid, I am going to read and
rest. He came out fine and will be home this afternoon.

I was driving all day, thinking of you and Bobby when I wasn't trying to get that cat to settle down. You've been through a lot of rough times over the past months, but sounds like it's not winding down any. Take good care of yourself.

Yesterday was rough. I was enlivened by my trick or treaters but thank God
the surgery went well and he will be home today. I am so glad
Eloise finally settled down. I was worried about both of y ou.

well did I lose information on Bobby surgery?what is this surgery that he is going to have?
Ted is in a state of mind there and no letting up.He had gone through so much there and yes you do have a heavy load there.A bit confused but this is typical of me in saying this.
You need to slow down and reach out for someone to give you a hand.
Will be thinking of both Bobby and Ted and of course you.I just hope that you do not have a breakdown there.Go slow and easy.We love you all.

Bobby had the surgery to reconnect his colon so he could have normal bowel
movements. He had to wear that colostomy bag for a year until he finished
chemo. He should be much happier now. Chemo left him with a lot of neuropathy and Ted has the same thing. Ted's new doctor says there is more
going on with Ted than just the back. We like him and he is doing intensive testing.

You really are carrying a big load. My thoughts are with you.

I've been lucky with teeth -- everyone else in my immediate family including sis wound up with dentures. Ted has my sympathy.

This year the spirit of Halloween is eluding me and I'll probably let my costume sit in the closet.

I think my witch outfit will stay in the closet too but I will pass out
candy for awhile. The children have asked me about my green face makeup
so I may make that much effort.

He'll be in my prayers.

Thank you. Waiting is so hard.

All the people I've ever known with false teeth complained about the fit. It made me wonder whether a good fit is even achievable. Good luck to Ted.

I think it probably is possible but he expects perfection and it just
ain't gonna happen.
