Electrical Problems

We were totally without electricity in our computer/exercise
room and I had blog withdrawal. Fortunately the electrician
has come and gone ...with a lot of our money. Everything is
working again thank goodness.

I have been searching high and low for some jewelry that I
put up for safe keeping. I just now found the passports that I packed ever so carefully away. I now have a book
that I am writing down the location of things put away.

I have made files with everything that I can think of that
is important.

There was a garage sale across the street and there were
two new baby pajamas and crib sheets that I snatched up for
Sara who was married yesterday. She is terrible with money
so her mother and I have decided that we will designate
money for furniture and she and Linda can shop for it. Otherwise it will go for entertainment. Ted has mellowed.
When I showed him the baby things, still in the package, he
remarked that we ought to be putting things away for the
arrival of little Owen. We are going to turn the family
reunion into a baby shower for Sara and my sister's
grandaughter K. Ann. Incidentally her name is Kevin Anne.
I will never for the life of me know why a girl was named
Kevin. What was my nephew thinking?

Ellie and I are going to an estate sale this afternoon. It
is supposed to be huge. I got the most beautiful shade of
turquoise by painting a bracelet green and then going over
it lightly with blue. Ted started a portraid of me and it is
so bad that I am going to finish it. By the way, Almay has
a new foundation out that changes to your skin tone. It is
great for me because I have trouble getting a light enough
shade.

Now if you just don't lose the book where you are writing the location of everything, you will have it made!

I'll have to try to new Almay foundation. I have a terrible time getting just the right skin tones.

Lot of that nongender baby naming going around nowadays (Dakota, for instance). But then, both our names (Randy/Jeri) could be taken as girl/boy genders.

There are 3 Dakota's in Adrienne's class. I am reminded of my great
grandmother's name which was Missouri. There is also a girl named Destiny
and another one named Emotion in Adrienne's class.

Another baby to shop for... such fun!
Don't you just hate it when you can't remember where you put things? Right now, I can't find my passport. Now, where did I put that?

I found a beautiful baby quilt yesterday at an estate sale. I plan on
getting bigger than infant size things and lots of receiving blankets
and onesies.

Aren't computer problems/service disruptions just the pits? Sooooooo glad that's over and settled for you. Good for you on the record-keeping front. I just changed a bunch of my passwords and got mixed up for a spell. Wooboyohboy. I'm going to an antique auction next week. I expect to get in trouble. Oh dear.

An antique auction would be the death of me! Laura has the best ones in
Loveland. I bought a favorite tea[pt there.

If I could post it, you could see it.

It was taken from a good picture that he got and in his version I have a
purple face. I get paint all over me when I paint so I don't do it often.

You're having so much fun.

Yes, I am having fun. We saw the most fabulous kitchen at the estate sale.It looked like an HGTV extravaganza. Sadly enough the people who owned
it had over extended themselves. It had a five car garage.

Good idea about making a list of important things! Smart. Very smart.

This is what happens when your short term memory goes south.

Years ago a 30-something guy was talking about someone naming their kid Owen, and he said "Jeez, he must be the youngest person in the world with that name." I think it has come back in style, since then.

My favorites are John and David. I hate biblical names like Jonah and
Isaac.
