Crazy Days

For the last three days, the wind has blown about 70 miles an hour. It is working up to a bad storm and the western half of the state is under tornado warnings. We will probably get it here tonight.

So far we have shown our property five times. Everytime we try to make it a little b etter in some way. A young couple is interested but can't seem to come up with the down payment. I also replaced my chandeliers with ceiling fans and sneaked the gate Ted made for me off and hid it. It is a standard size walk gate but it has 4 lions on it and two sunbursts. I think it is beautiful.

Our current project is to make a valance out of purple vinyl for the shower. The shower curtin is purple eyelit. In case you are wondering, my house is loud b ecause I love color and I am not a conventional type decorator.

I painted the back door yesterday. The man who looked yesterday brought his grandchildren and the ninth grade boy told me he would really like to live here. Rex wouldn't play with him. He has a bad case of seperation anxiety. Being sick seemed to trigger it.

Good luck with your house, Jeri. People are often sidetracked
by color choices and rugs when they should be looking at
the location and the layout of the house. Lots of not-smart
people out there. Hope you find a buyer soon. Houses are
finally selling on our island but not for anywhere near what
they were priced at the beginning of the real estate boom for
waterfront. Tiny houses on canals (direct Gulf access) were
being priced at $600,000 -- one recently sold for $319m. I hope REx is feeling better.

Goodness, you have STRONG winds there! It is difficult going through the selling process, I know. Especially in these days when property is hard to sell. I know that you're doing all you can and your place must look really prime, so you'll sell it, no doubt!

Has the weather in the whole country gone crazy? We are under severe thunderstorm warnings for the second day in a row and now they've added a tornado watch. It helped cool things off but I'd like to be outside weeding and stuff. I hope the tornadoes pass you by.

Hope the tornados pass you by. Cleaning up would be a major job right now, and you have enough going on without that too.

We are calling our windblown hair the Oklahoma Do. It almost carries one off.

I am glad it didn't get bad here

Those are heavy winds there.

I didn't paint my place in loud colors for resale value alone. That's great that 5 people have looked though! That's promising!

This wind has just been horrible. I am so sick of it. I am ready for a storm or anything else that will change this weather pattern we are in. Of course, I don't want tornadoes, but we could certainly use a good rain.
