Computer Mysteries

The computer played havoc with my post and then wiped it
out entirely. It seems to have a mind of it's own. It wants to configure updates every time I try to use it even though they are set at 3 a.m. If I had a robot to do the
housework it would probably behave outrageously too.

I am feeling virtuous because I got my early morning walk in before seven while it was still a little bit cool. I
always run into the same people when I walk. A very pretty woman about 25 and an older lady with two small dogs and
a poor man being tugged down the street by two Golden
Retrievers. I have great sympathy for him because he has to
run to keep up.

My new neighbor who has 3 children and has never been married had one of his baby mama's for a sleepover last night. I marvel at how much child support he must have to pay on a policeman's salary.

I am waiting on an electrician to wire the generator in. It
is so hot here that I am afraid we may lose our power and if we do the heat is almost unbearable.
we had the generator our fans would still work.

I'm feeling virtuous also. I too beat the heat by running 5.5 miles this morning. Unfortunately, I didn't run into any pretty 25 yr old gal. Old farmers in bib overalls aren't very inspirational.

It will make you feel safer.

a generator will be nice peace of mind for you! How is Ted doing?

Ted is feeling much better and has been up to working in the yard a little.
If we have ice this year, there go the power lines so we thought we needed
some protection. Not being Spartan.

That generator will give you a lot of peace of mind, not just in the heat of summer, but also the ice storms and tornadoes. I'm working up to getting one here.

Winter before last, there was a power out in this neighborhood that lasted
6 days. People were cooking in fondue pots and hovering around their fireplaces.

Write your post in the word program and save it. Copy it and plug it into your MyBloggers screen. If it is wiped out, you still have it and can get it from your word program. I have a running Word document with all my posts -- some get a bit changed once I get them into MyBloggers and I don't go back and re-edit, but the substance is there. I just type the new one at the top, copy it, save the document and transfer it over. Try it.

Thanks for the tip. I will give it a try. It is so exasperating to have that happen.

It does sound hot.Your neighbor- does he have the three kids or are they with their mothers? Nosy, aren't I?
comment by dragonflyby on Aug 13, 2010 7:04 AM ()
It was 104 yesterday. I have to water every morning in order not to lose the plants. I am very curious about our neighbor. I have never seen children over there so I assume they live with their Moms.
