Coming Home

After a brief flirtation with Blogster, I am glad that we
are together again. It is a cozy little community that we
have here and there are some nuts over there.

I have been gardening industriously and have enjoyed the
fresh herbs and vegetables. The dill was attacked by a
pretty striped worm that looked like part of the plant but
I sent them to an early death and the plant is recovering.
I am fighting a rose that wants to come up as root stock
but I have been merciless. No matter how many times I cut
it down, it pops back up.

I am fertilizing the roses for the last time this month. They have gotten taller than I anticipated and I will need to prune
them in March.

We have some home improvement projects going and I get a real
sense of satisfaction from the progress we are making.

Medical issues continue to plague Ted and Bobby so we try to
take it one day at a time. It is a cliche but it works for
me. I try never to second guess tomorrow.

Yes, I had some very weird messages left for me on blogster. Some were
hilarious.

Deb started a group on fb for refugees of mybloggers. Looks like it died now that mybloggers is back. I was hoping that you'd try fb again but instead you went to bugster! Yipes! LOL Couldn't pay me to go back there! Hopefully mybloggers is up to stay for awhile.

Unfortunately, you can't be nice to someone who's not there!!

You may be hearing from S.P.C.P.W. soon. That's the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Pretty Worms.

I basically thought the terms "pretty" and "worm" were mutually exclusive. I admire your horticultural diligence.

These worms had gold and brown stripes on them and they had fastened themselves around the plant stem. They were actually pretty. I felt bad
when I squashed them.

We had some roses in Las Vegas that had lost their hybrid characteristics and went wild. I finally talked Mr. YouKnow into ripping them out, but now he says he won't plant anything else there. We'll see about that!

Digging is the only solution. They just keep coming back it you cut them
off. Knock Out roses are my favorites because they bloom all summer.

That's good advice, one day at a time.
I don't like bugs in my plants!

I cut down some branches and the leaves were infested with larvae
of some kind. Gross!
