Catch Up

We had to go and get groceries today so I could start making candy. The bill was over the top. I can't get over how much things cost now. Ted's motorcycle comes out of the shop tomorrow. We won't be able to use it till warm weather ao it is just coming home to go in the shop.

I got Rex and China their Christmas stockings and they really enjoyed them. China put her head down on hers and scent marked them and Rex has enjoyed his to the max except for the treats. He spurned them. I suspect that China's had cat nip in hers. She is usually pretty blaise about toys.

I got my Christmas cards from the Humane Society and got them off this morning. They are a little tacky but they have cute cats and dogs on them. I also have all the presents wrapped. The house is a wreck but I am almost ready for the holidays.

Your pets already got their presents? And, Rex spurned his? I thought cats were the picky ones!

How I can spend so much money at the grocery store, when my freezer (15cf) is packed full, is beyond me. Congrats on getting everything done early.

I can't believe that for just one person my groceries and a few household items cost over $250 a month! It is outrageous. All of my Christmas shopping is done and most of my gifts are wrapped. Have to wait for printer ink to arrive to finish the cards. I am trying to talk myself into putting up a few Christmas decorations. Why am I struggling with this so much?

For just two people, Ed and I are major consumers with costs to match. The refrigerator looks like it is stocked for 14 teenagers. I could eat noodles every night for a week and that's what I did when I was on my own.

Grocery prices are just unbelievable...but thank God for small favors. Gasoline has come way down. The prediction is that we may actually see $1 a gallon again. Can someone explain that to me?

I'm using up all the food in the house before I go to the store again, and I'm sure there will be some sticker shock when it comes time to restock the shelves.
