I'm Baaaaack!

As you may know, my poor laptop got sick so I took it in to see a genius at the Apple store. He poked at the keys and perused the applications and the system settings and pronounced it too sick for them to fix! So, he had to send it to Texas for the experts to look at it.

But, it came back Friday and I was too busy to pick it up until after dinner yesterday.

It got a New hard drive

It got a New keyboard

It got a New optical drive  (super drive for burning cd's and dvd's)

And last but not least, it got all of the  New and improved up-to-date software.  No, not Leopard, darn it. And they didn't sneak an Intel processor into it or get it mixed up with a Macbook. Rats, that means I'll have to buy one.

Are  you wondering how much that cost? Guessing it was more than June's vet bill or maybe more than a new MacBook?

Not a penny.  All of it was covered by  the extended warranty.

Does it work? Oh, yeah. It's kind of like the difference between riding a bicycle and flying in a jet. Amazing. And the new keyboard is smoother than a puppy's fur. The only trouble is that I can't remember my wi-fi password and I'm too lazy to hook up my storage thingie so I can transfer all that stuff.

What a GREAT feeling it is coming back to the 21st Century, isn't it? I too have had recent computer woes. Mine got struck by lightning! Fortunately, I've got a GREAT friend who knows computers inside out. His name is Chris, and he writes the Oombutu blog here at MyBloggers. Not only did he fix it, he also added more RAM, making it work at lightning speed, a new DVD/CD player/burner (Never had one before) and new A Drive. (My old one bit the dust back when God was a kid. Mine cost me though - about sixty bucks for parts and a dinner for Oombutu at The Main Street Pub, (My favorite haunt!)

My laptop died a couple of years ago and I just haven't buried it yet. Glad you are up and running.

Ohhhhh. I'm glad you are baaaaack. There for a minute I thought you said your were Barack and I got really frightened! I had visions of Obama invading your body (old movie, Bodysnatchers). I gotta stop watching old movies and stick to the History channel or HCTV.
