Well, it is What it Is ...

Bad news on the biopsy but early stage and my doctor's office will call tomorrow to set up an appointment with a specialist they think highly of.

I was going to change internists but, under the circumstances, have decided not to do so. I will cancel the other appointment scheduled for this Friday morning.

Processing everything and up and down about it all. It's a strange feeling. Sort of like being hit in Dodge Ball. (Do they still play Dodge Ball in grammar school?)

Called some friends who’ve been through it. They are all positive about current state of the art. I should be okay.

Love to all,
xx, Teal

Hi teal; Meditation and positive thinking--and laughter, at silly movies etc. help too, along with nutrition. I know you have the inner fortitude..

That's a hard knock, I'm very sorry to hear. My sister experienced it and she is thin, muscled, determined (sound like anyone?). Please make sure you eat enough good, vitamin-y food -- the sort Solitaire grows! Kale, spinach, chard, and other bright-colored vegetables and fruits. Seeing two women of my family go thru it utterly convinces me of the importance of diet... and staying happy. So please fuel your engines and also stick with that good state of mind you seem to have already.

thanks for words of encouragement. I eat a lot of salad and will add more broccoli and cauliflower. My state of mind has been up and down, kind of to be expected. Your advice is good. Thanks.

Bless your heart, Teal. Like Jeri says, I wish we were there to give you hugs in person. I'll be thinking about you in the days to come as you figure out your options.

Sending you warmest support, dear Teal.
Shocking, dismaying news, yes, but rebound and do not be discouraged. Much can be done, especially at an early stage. My dearest friend is going through this very thing right now, and doing well. Surrounding you with positive vibes. Please keep us posted.

Thanks marta. It's good to have people who care. There are two qualities of the Greek character: one is eternal optimism and the other is tragedy and doom. I'm trying to stick with the first.
