Remember: Cell Phones Go Public This Month

REMINDER: All cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sales calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS.

To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888-382-1222. It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years.

You must call from the cell phone number you want to have blocked. You cannot call from a different phone number. HELP OTHERS BY PASSING THIS ON. It takes about 20 seconds.

Also, here is a link. https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx

Pass it on.

I only pick up calls from numbers and names that I know. No way would I answer calls from "Private Name. Private Number" or 800 and 900 numbers. But I called the DNC number anyway.

Businesses get around this Do Not Call List by using call centres in other countries.

Steve has certainly been living under a rock! This is actually very old info, but still valid. Note this change however:
"Your registration will not expire. Telephone numbers placed on the National Do Not Call Registry will remain on it permanently due to the Do-Not-Call Improvement Act of 2007, which became law in February 2008. Read more about it at https://www.ftc.gov/opa/2008/04/dncfyi.shtm."

Give ya an idea of how old the email actually is, huh?

This is unbelievable B.S. I guess I've been living under a rock; first I've heard of it. More legislation by lobbyist!!
