Facebook Confusion and Shared Remedies
I still don’t understand Facebook. I clicked on a poll, filled it out (progressively, of course), went to the comments section, tried to post something. I chose Facebook as my I.D., but the site said I’d have to disable something first and I gave up. During this effort, I was informed that three people on Facebook had “unfriended†me. First, who gives a shit, and second, anyone on Facebook who is not already aware of my politics from actually knowing me, isn’t my friend to start with.
In any case, when I signed on to Facebook a day later, I remembered the "Alert" (see "first" above) and out of simple curiosity, looked for the notification. I couldn’t find any reference to it at all. In the words of the immortal Alfred E. Neumann, “What, me worry?â€
I am taking something called Laminine that helps rejuvenate body cells. I seem able to do more but still have to rest a lot after any effort. It’s expensive. $100 or so for 90 pills. I am also about to start (when it gets here) taking hyaluronic acid that helps lubricate the joints. I have had cortisone shots in my fingers about 3 times now. I can still play but it's hard to know if I would be better if my hands weren't so stiff. Never had this problem before I stopped HRT. I bought 2 for 1 on Puritan.com (it specializes in supplements) and my gtf, Nadine, and I are starting it together. She, however, says that since she started adding chia seed to her cereal and other dishes, that her arthritis symptoms have waned big time.
Laminine was available on Amazon and I got my first order there. Then Amazon was enjoined from offering it because LifePharm that sells it wants to be the only game in town. So my massage therapist who was the person who recommended this, ordered it for me and from now on, I can do it.
I offer all these remedies, in case my ailing friends want to try any.
I am still having trouble sleeping a full night through because of body heat that won’t quit. Ice packs live under my pillow and sometimes I have to reverse the pillow every 2 minutes or so because I heat it up so fast. Not sleeping is, I am sure, making me tired throughout the day as well.
The cats do not understand this process. Ed is awakened sometimes by my thrashing but I just think of that as payback because he is so restless himself and will sometimes talk in his sleep (particularly if working through a troubling problem). I can sleep through almost anything but language. Once my left brain is engaged, I am UP. Despite all of this, he is aces although he snarled at me this morning for making noise while removing the ice packs to return them to the freezer. But he was friendly when he did get up. What a dear.
