Eli Wallach played the Italian who wooed Baby Doll and tried to destroy her husband (Karl Malden.)
Wallach is one of my very favorite and talented actors.

It's funny how your brain can dredge up memories of things long past--it lets you know your memory cells retain everything.

The Asian fellow's rant was so indignant and so funny!

The day of Diana's funeral my daughter was visiting and I was trying not to sniffle and cry in front of her, and daughter was doing the same for me. Diana got a bum rap out of that marriage, but now that I see Charles and how he has aged and is harrassed by Camilla I almost feel sorry for him, then I think if it weren't for his actions his sons would now have a mother and think he deserves any misery he gets.

That lampshade is serving a good purpose--a hidey hole for Midnight. Nothing wrong with that!

I wish pot were legalized--if it were, I'd go out and buy some right now. Alcohol is much worse on the human body than pot, and think of how much the US government could collect in taxes on marijuana legal trade.
PS I have a friend from Australia--she's a superb person in every way.

My speech is pure southern cornpone, but I like the way you write anyway!
Well, I live in a cultural and gastronomic wasteland. The nearest restaurant features canned and cooked from frozen foods (although they make good fried chicken)nothing fresh. I just read in the latest AARP magazine Mississippians where I live have the lowest intake of fresh fruit and veggies of any state.

Ha! That was good!! I agree, The people who run Walmart oughta be put in charge of the government and the capitol moved to Bentonville Arkansas!

Hi peach; Thre isn't any animal control officers where I live, surrounded by woods, so if a critter like a coyote shows up the home owner has to deal with it. Something has to be done--there's a lot of these hungry coyotes out there, and I'm leery of them carrying rabies.

Oprah had Tyler Perry, a famous black comedian on her show who revealed he had been molested when a child--then O followed up that show with another one where she had an audience full of men who had been sexually abused during childhood. None of them told their parents. Kids hardly ever tell parents for various reasons. You can tell kids about inappropriate touching etc. but when it actually happens they freeze up and it goes on.
Also, a psychologist on the show said 8 out of 10 children will have been molested during childhood!

How I admire your grit and determination to get the job done!
Years ago when I bought my house, it had dark paneling on the walls. I hired a guy (I'm not smart like you) to paint the hallway and doors blue, and had wallpaper put in the dining room. The blue walls seemed outrageous back then and startled people, but decoraters use all kinds of bright colors on indoor walls now.

Since I live alone, I don't cook a big T'giving dinner--I get invites, but would rather stay home, unless I go to a buffet in Hattiesburg. There are long lines there--lots of other people don't want to cook either.
