In Memory!

Dad would have turned 86 today, if he hadn't taken his life 11 years ago. He never met my Ra of sunshine. A month before the little guy was born he put that damn gun in his mouth.

Daddy had cancer and all the other things that ail you when you smoke so I don't blame him. But I miss him. He was my best friend! He still is. Whenever I have a problem I talk to him.

When I was pregnant with Jen, Dad asked me to meet him at the set of The Stuntman, you know it as Hooper, I was 8 months along and he wanted me to meet Burt Reynolds and Jan Michael Vincent, Jan was my heart throb of the moment, I didn't want to but he insisted that I come by for lunch. Jen was his first grandbrat. Talk about having any seat in the house...ooh-la-wee.

I was on 17 episodes of Family Affair, I was young and fat and happier than a hog eating shat!!!

Spouse
Victoria Young (1970 - 24 June 1997) (his death) 2 children
Judy Landon (1955 - ?) (divorced) 2 children 3 adopted children
Frances Helm (? - 1955) (divorced)

Son of character actor Robert Keith and stage actress Helena Shipman. He grew up on the road with his parents while they toured in plays. First appeared at age 3 in film Pied Piper Malone (1924) with his father. Began acting in radio programs and on stage before World War II. Joined the Marines and served as a machine gunner. Returned to Broadway stage after the war and branched out into television and film. Worked as an extra in several films before achieving speaking roles and subsequent stardom

I miss you daddy! And I do understand.

Brian Keith is your dad? My dad passed away in March of 1997 from cancer. He was 87 years old. I miss him, too.

I'm so sorry Barb!! My own Daddy passed away nearly 29 years ago. I was 17 at the time. Yes, smoking will kill you for sure.
