It's a Girl!

Daughter #3 (by age) Emily and husband Nate had a baby girl 7 AM Sunday--at home, the old fashioned way. 8.5 lbs, 21.5".

I saw her 10 hours after she was born, a cutie, of course.
They named her Macy Pauline, the middle name after my mother. How nice. It's the first of my 4 grandchildren named after someone in my family
I still can't bring myself to call their son by his real name (Jensen), my ex-wife's maiden name. I won't have any trouble saying Macy Pauline!

Thank you. Nate worked on laying plastic the day following the birth, but no plants are in the ground yet. Lot of prep work involved. When bearing, you'll have to come down and pick some (or I'll pick some for you)!

If you call your grandson Jensen good memories of him will replace the bad memories of your ex-wife. I mean that you will associate that name with your grandson and not your ex.

Congratulations on being a grand dad again. What if some members of your family refused to call the new baby Macy because they were still in a snit over something that happened years ago? Move on. Embrace what is. Have you asked Jensen if he minds his name?
