I don't have many weekly highlights, so I'll call them lowlights. Oh, I suppose the Democratic Convention was a highlight. I watched all the important speakers. Those TV "talking heads" irritated me as they would talk over the speakers in the background. I just think the president and his wife are wonderful. Goodness, if Obama isn't re-elected, I'll be crushed--all faith in Americans destroyed.
It's been feast or famine in the rain department. We've been drenched the past several days. Storms last night sent me to the basement for cover!
Before the rains came yesterday, I helped my SIL harvest green beans, tomatoes and raspberries for today's farmers markets. It troubles me to watch my daughter (Emily) work so hard with a baby expected any day now. Maybe it's the old "drive down a bumpy road" way of starting contractions. Nate bought 12,000 strawberry starts that needs to be planted this week--by hand! Guess what I'll be doing? There goes my back.
That's about it. Like I said, lowlights.
