Friday the 13th

When I noticed today was Friday the 13th, I checked the calendar for future similar days and discovered we have three of them this year! The other two are in April and July. Very rare occurrence.

If you're superstitious, this isn't a good year. I don't consider myself superstitious--never have. Oh, I think about it when a black cat crosses my path, or I walk under a ladder. But that's only because we've been told it's bad luck. So, it enters the mind. I try to dismiss it.

Supposedly, the superstition goes back to J.C. and the boys meeting on Black Friday.

Follow-up ... Maher started out with a monologue that was tasteless and unfunny. He's been much better. He also had an opening one-on-one with Herman Cain before going to the panel. He disagreed with Cain, which was a plus. I got really tired and decided to just go to bed. A disappointment. Since it's repeated often, I may see the second half later this week.

I'd rather live through a Friday the 13th than break a mirror. It's such a mess to clean up.

We got 3-4 inches. But to hear the hype, you would have thought we got 3-4 feet! Pathetic. I am housebound--only because I have no reason to go anywhere (until Mon.). And you?

I've owned black cats before (I once had 20 at one time!). Not going anywhere this weekend. Got my fire to keep me warm. And ballgames.

well Randy,I really did not realized the date.That is because not writing any checks.
Wish Tom Brady luck as he vs.Ebow or Elbow or whatever he is.
Hope that he is doing a lot of prayers there.How nice to thank him for his last week.

Friday the 13th has never bothered me. I do avoid walking under ladders just because I always think it could slip and fall on me.

When you think it through looking at the big picture, the number 13 has no more significance than any other number on any other day. But it's probably a good excuse for a party1
