I'm getting somewhat behind in my blogging life, especially reading posts. Sorry 'bout that.
I've been busy lately. Yesterday, I babysat all day. Then, I went to a debate entitled, "Can you be good without God?"
The debate pitted Dan Barker (Freedom From Religion Foundation co-leader) against a Christian minister and a rabbi. That seemed unfair--2 against 1--but Dan held his own. The audience leaned obviously toward the religious viewpoints, but that was to be expected.
All three participants agreed one CAN be good without god, so the debate/discussion turned to other issues (which I won't go into). Nonetheless, interesting.
My post title refers to an email I received this morning indicating my Wilderness Volunteers trip to Vermont the first week of October has been cancelled. I was sort of expecting this, so it didn't come as a complete surprise. Fortunately, I had no plane reservations or any other major plans/appointments. I was going to drive my truck.
I was hoping to meet Fredo, and perhaps Hayduke Jim. And I had an itinerary to visit a variety of historic and scenic places. But, best laid plans......
Maybe next year.
Now, on to Plan B, whatever that might entail.
