I always try to keep my phone charged in case I have a flat tire or car problems. It has saved me more than once.
Oftentimes, the people who illustrate children's books are not the ones who write them. You should get in touch with some children's publishers, let them know you are an illustrator, and you might get a try-out with them.
It looks like a lovely little cabin, but not big enough for a family, I'm sure. I think you were right in eliminating the phone and heat. A small portable heater would be plenty on cool summer days....and I never worry about a phone, especially if I can get cell service.

The early morning is such a lovely time of day and really in the Oklahoma and Texas heat, the only time one can enjoy the outdoors.

If teens actually saw a person killed violently, they would probably be instantly sick to their stomachs. But television and movies treat it as though it's an everyday thing. They cannot help but become desensitized to it. Taylor and Baylor love it....the more violent the better. Kenzie is not yet allowed to attend violent movies; but it is only a matter of time.
