I'm using Mz Scarlett's computer 'cause she is in the shower and won't notice what I'm up to 'cause she takes like a zillion hours and uses lots of hot water. Besides, she's my Mom and I can get away with stuff like this as long as I don't leave doggy bone crumbs on the keyboard.
Me and my sister Sophie want to tell you some stuff. I'm two years old and Sophie was borned in July so she's still a little pup-girl. She hasn't had time to get into much bad stuff. I don't do bad stuff either. We are very excellent companions to Mom and her Hubby (we call him Doggy Dad). We are a real family!
I can't think of anything you can bring us for this thing humans call 'Christmas'. We've got beds, bones, toys and lots of love. More than some children have got...I heard Mom say that one day. I heard her say Christmas was a special day cause someone has a birthday then. I guess lots of people are borned on that day. I listened real close when she read the story about a little boy who was borned long time ago. She has a special book that she reads and it must have a zillion stories in it. Sometimes Mom laughs when she reads it and sometimes she cries. I lick her face and the tears taste kinda salty but she don't mind. Just calls them "puppy kisses".
Anyway, this little boy was borned a long long time ago. I guess Mom was a little girl then. She seems to know him so I guess she was there. She works in a hospital but I don't know if he was borned there or somewhere else. She told her grand girls it was in Bethleham. I love it when the grand girls come to visit! We have lots of fun. Bethleham must be somewhere close to where we live but we have never been there.
This little boy's name is Jesus. He must be really special 'cause lots of people sing songs about him and tell stories about him and love him lots. I wonder if he has some dogs, too. I bet he loves dogs.
Oops, she's about to get out of the shower so I gotta hurry. Sophie and me want you to tell that little boy Happy Birthday for us. I heard Mom tell her friend that her Mommy and Daddy and even her two children are already where he is and will be able to spend his birthday with him. She said one day she will go there, too. I hope she let's us go, too! She let's us go to the park and to see the deer and lots of places.
Mom said not everyone believes in Santa but she does. Mom said not everyone knows why they celebrate Christmas, but she does.
Our puppy wishes are just to let everyone know about love and hope and peace. And if you want to leave us something under the Christmas Tree it will be OK 'cause we asked Mom and she said "yes".
Love,
Lucy and Sophie (the spoiled chihuahuas)
