Don't Read This If You Are a Jesus Freak

I swear my horoscope did not say anything about the random crazy text I got last night from a very old friend.  Just out of the blue my phone goes off and it say "hey girl, this is Nicole S***** how are you?"

I haven't talked to this girl is YEARS and years.  I'm pretty sure she got my number from a mutual friend of ours.  Which by the way I feel is pretty rude.  If someone asks me for a phone number of a friend, I ALWAYS ask that person first before giving it out.

So anyway, she was filling me in on what she's been doing and then she mentions that she is a born again Christian since Sept of 2002!  And I have nothing against someone finding spirituality and all but please oh please leave it to yourself.  She spent the next hour talking about GOD and what he has done for her.  (Although he can't find her a man)

It was very annoying "No I am not dating anyone.  God has not found that special man for me"

"I keep having faith I will get married one day its been hard on my baby.  But GOD has been awesome to put good men in our lives that have become our churh family"
"Are you dating women or men?  God wants you to be with a man"

seriously? KEEP IT TO YOURSELF IF YOU ARE RELIGIOUS!!!!! I don't push my beliefs on you!

Your opinion?  Should you ASK before giving out a friends phone number even if you both know the person?

Ugh.... Cell phone numbers and religion -- both things that should be kept to yourself unless the other person says it's "okay" first.

Ha! I'm going to keep that in mind! Handy for those visits from Jehovah's Witness.

geez... sorry you had to endure that...

It's rude. Period. Especially since cell phones are somehow a little more personal. I'd be p*ssed. But then again, I'm a b*tch.

I'm spiritual. You know that. And I think it's wonderful when people find some kind of spirituality that works for them in their own lives. But I do take issue with people who use their God as a catch all for everything and use him or her or it or whatever as a reason to not do things for themselves. Sometimes I think the big guy is up there waiting for us to do something for ourselves. You know the line, "God's work isn't done by God, it's done by people".

Have you tried telling her you worship satan? That might help.

If God wanted to find the "right" woman for me he would have named me Clooney instead of Adams.

Ugh.

No, you don't give out A's number to B. You take B's number and give it TO A and THEY decide if they want to call B.

Same here, why pass this on to you.
To each its own.
She is lost there in her own little world.
For me,cannot tolerate this.
I know a lot of people out there are into this.
But for me,leave me alone and do your own thing.
Do you think that she is trying to get you involved here?

I (usually) say something like: I'll mention to so-and-so that you'd like to hear from him/her next time I talk to him. Should I give him your home number? I gave out a cell# to a buddy recently. The guy I gave it to is the other guy's neighbor, and they know each others landline numbers, so I figured, what the hell? I figured wrong.

I would never give out someones number unless I knew that person would want his/her number shared. I would rather take the requestor's number and pass it on to who they want to contact.
