Retirement Is Too Far Away

Parenting & Family > Pets > Yeah, It's Gross

Yeah, It's Gross

So I went to pick up my Kraymer after work and he was happy as a clam. If only you could see how he bounces! I could have named him Tigger as well, but he really is a replica of Seinfeld's Kramer character! I get a glimpse of that anytime he slides across a room & with his goofy hair...  :0) But yeah, when we got home he reverted back to the almost falling over cuz he's drugged up Kraymer. I don't know if he's faking it at the vet so he doesn't get held there or if he's just so excited that he forgets he's on drugs? Anyways...
I was FOREWARNED that there would be lots of leakage, so guess what? I was prepared for it and dealt with it how I was told to. How nice when people let ya know what might happen! I like the new vet!
Last night there were a few icky moments with the drainage tube, but he's really being a trooper... really! I can't use the harness on him anymore either because the tube is so long, and he hasn't worn a collar since the surgery. So now I have to use a short little leash that goes over his shoulder on his incision side so as not to bug it. It works ok, but I am always paranoid because I know my Kraymer sometimes takes on Cujo's role while we are outside and I have a lot less control with the incision friendly leash. I am on my toes walking him!!!
We canceled the trip to see my friends in NC. I told R that I wanted to go, badly, but in all reality I would just be buggin the crap out of the petsitter always asking for updates, and I would be wondering what was going on and if he was doing ok and if there was a blood stain somewhere that needed shout etc. etc. etc. so, we canceled. Plus walking him on this not so sturdy leash is a pain. And the warm compresses are time consuming. And cleaning the drainage site is something only a 'fur mother" could tolerate without gloves and being disgusted.
I do feel for the bubba though because I don't want to bug the site too much, so I am only cleaning a bit of his fur off. It's going to be sooo matted! But I figure right now making sure I get the drainage site clean is of utmost importance. I can cut his fur around the site later to rid him of mats.
Anywho! I heard on the news today that there is an overweight representatives group that is going to protest Disney for saying that the overall "larger" American population is sinking the boats on it's a small world. Not really sinking, but they are hitting bottom which halts the ride and causes problems. How can you protest this? It's a fact. They are temporarily shutting down the ride to better accommodate the fact that most Americans are FA's now. Be happy they aren't specifying a certain weight maximum, ya know? They do it with height after all, and that's something you can't control at all!   But anyways. It's Thursday. I hope you all have a happy! :0)

That's too bad that the overweight Americans feel discriminated against n' all... but seriously... I think there's bigger things in life to protest.

True, a lot of us are over weight but I am celebrating because I just got my F. A. into size l2 jeans and though it doesn't sound like much, a year ago, I needed l8s.

Oh, so happy you are staying to keep Kraymer head company this weekend. Your friend will understand and you can make a trip to NC soon.

And it is silly to protest Disney for that. Sad that it's such a problem in our society though.

Think that you made the right decision on cancel your trip to NC
you would not be happy about it.
I would have done the same .
No comment on the over weight. But it is a shame, wish that they take better care of them self.

Yes, you are right. You can't leave your furson. He needs his mom there for moral support if nothing else. Smooch him for me. Also, the Disney thing, please! Did you know the time was they only carried costumes for their workers up to a size 16! If you were over that you didn't get a job there! Boo

I would have stayed home with him too!! Kisses and Hugs to Kraymer!!!

As for Disney, if these problems are causing the ride to halt or malfunction then they are doing what they need to do... Why Protest?
