Tomatoes Please!

Did I spell tomatoes right? I always wonder if there is an e in there or not. ]

Anyways, I am pleased with the growth of my plants. I am hoping that they actually produce lots of tomatoes!!! Dare to dream. Here are some pics of their progress:

This one is doing the best, but it started as a small plant, the rest were seeds...

See the little green tomatoes? YAY!

And here are the other two pots with 4 little plants each...

We shall see how this little experiment turns out...

Yes, Fredo's got it. Plant basil and dill in pots nearby. Good Luck

verah cool....looks like you'll have a bumper crop. Brother Bubba has gotten 3 or 4 off of his plants that were damaged in the last hail storm. we hope they will survive.

We always had marigolds near tomatoes and I raise rosemary and basil every
summer. I love rosemary and lemon chicken.

A noun that in its singular form ends with an 'o' should always have the 'e' in its plural, unless it is a borrowed foreign word such a 'pathos' or 'eros.' There are a few exceptions, but it doesn't matter anyway because we use both forms in the USA. 'Potatos' or potatoes.

Keep believing and they will grow. I planted mine back in May and they are over 6 ft tall and we have had delicious tomatoes this summer, even had fried green tomatoes which my husband loves and I can't stomach them. Right now, I am eating red, ripe tomatoes for breakfast. Yum Yum!

How exciting! Growing crops is one of those things a person gets better at every year, so even if these are a little late, next year it won't be an experiment, it'll be a sure thing.

You say tomatoes and I say tomato oh!what the hell.Ours all ready turning read.We have basil, and dill to ward off if any bugaroo.
Do you not have a yard to make a garden there?you do not get as many bugs than you do in the pot?just saying.

We have a yard... Tucker would pee on any plant I planted though so I figured the deck in pots was safe.

Yum. Fresh grown tomatoes are the best. I need to ask my sister but there's an herb you should plant with them or near them to ward off bugs.

Is it what fredo said? Mine are in pots on the deck so I am hoping they are ok... MISS YOU!!!
