The Pet Sit (Scary) House, Cont.

Before I left work, I told R that I was going to keep him posted on my whereabouts (like when I was going into the house and when I was leaving) because I was a bit paranoid since the mornings activities. I also gave him the address of where I would be just in case I didn't ever respond that I was leaving... I mean ya never know!

So I went back there tonight and strangely, everything was off. I don't quite get it. I did notice that the TV was still on, but it was all poltergeist screen and silent. I turned it off manually. The radio (which actually sounded like a book being read by a woman with an English accent) was off. Strange indeed.

I didn't feel afraid so I stayed with the kitty and played with her and pet her and fed her etc. etc. etc. When I was sitting on the floor playing with her with a feather on a stick, I saw a book under their coffee table called "Weird Virginia" Hmmm This peaked my interest so I grabbed it and started looking through it. There were stories of hauntings and places where apparitions were seen and such. Creepy. Then I saw a business card in the book for "Spirit Stones" ACK! This was getting to be too much! I have been watching those ghost hunter shows and the show the worlds scariest places, so I was really creeped out.

After my time was up, I left the house. On my way to my car, a black cat crossed my path. Can you believe it? The cat was friendly. I read the cats tag and his name was Tucker. Too weird!!! I high tailed it outta there. I am glad I only have 3 visits left to this house. Wish me luck guys!!!

No, I've never blogged about it. They were quiet ghosts and my mom says they are even more quiet now. But then they never turned on electrical items. They liked to open and close doors

I agree with bumpedoff...if you see the cat running, I would tooI was wondering too...do you think they have timers on the tv and radio and stuff...did you notice any? That could explain why they were on then off...some folks have them to keep the appearance up that folks are home when they aren't to discourage break ins...keep us posted...I thought about you last night..wondered what was happening..

Although I do believe in spirits and such, I think I'd suspect someone had a key to the house.

I grew up in a haunted house. I knew you'd be okay!

I would probably dig that place. Especially because I own what I consider to be spirit stones.

OK - I used to work in an office that was haunted and occasionally had to go in on weekends to file paperwork. I never had anything happen to me personally (though SEVERAL co-workers did) and I think the reason is this:

When I would walk into the empty office on a weekend I would ask if any one was there. If no answer I would then ask the spirits for their permission to be there. I would tell them why I was there and that I wouldn't take long and if they would be kind enough to let me work in peace I would be gone in good time. When I left I would thank them for their kindness and the office was theirs again.

Stupid & crazy - totally. But I never had a problem working there. One co-worker always had problems when she was there alone. Then she tried my method and the problems stopped. [Shrug]

Cats can sense spirits. If she leaves the house, follow her. Cats also anticipate earthquakes.
