Freaky

This morning I went to my pet sit. When I entered the house, the radio was on loudly, as was the TV. I yelled out "Hello!" a few times, to no avail. I wasn't quite sure what to do - someone surely must be home, right? Do I go look for them? Go about my business? I wasn't sure. The kitty came up to greet me as usual, but I was unnerved. I decided the safest option was just to feed her and give her water like I normally would and figure it out once I left the house.
Once I got back to my car, I called the owner and asked if her husband had come back from overseas and explained what had happened. She told me that he didn't come back and that there are sometimes power surges that cause things to come on. Hmmm   Ok. So when I go back tonight I get to tour their house to turn off things that are supposed to be off. I am really going to be freaked out if nothing is on!!! But anyways...
Tonight R and I are supposed to go to the gym. I haven't been in WEEKS so I am WAY overdue, but man am I just feeling lazy. I think working out will give me some energy though so I am going to force myself to go. I think I will go on the bike for like 20 minutes or something. Nothing major, but something!
Oh Fredo I LOOOOOVE that you made up that photo contest! I have seen some of the CUTEST DOGS!!!  I love it!!! I can't wait til R and I move - we decided that our present to ourselves when we move out of the condo is to get another dawg! I told him that we prolly shouldn't get a puppy though, as I really want to adopt an adult from petfinder.com...  they had LOTS of dogs listed from shelters around the states!
Anyways, happy Tuesday everyone!

you're too funny! it really is TOUGH to stick with it, I know from a history of it in the past. I stick with it now because I refuse to allow myself to put all that weight back on. I never stuck with it before because I didn't have a thyroid problem. Now it's a health issue.

We use to wonder about the light in the kitchen, but I came to terms about three years ago that this house is haunted by the original owner. The same light that comes on has a pull string that use to have an old skeleton key on the end of it, well I cut it off because it fit a old wardrobe I use to own. the light started coming on once I took the key and it only comes on at night. Another strange thing about the old man who owned the house he left detailed information about the pets he owned and how all of them died, the list is still hanging in one of the garage cupboards so assume the back yard is so lush because it is a pet cemetery. Spooky!

I've had that happen to my apt when there was a brownout. But still freaky.
Yes, a light workout would be best to re-start your workout routine.
And petfinder is great - that's how I found Sarge!

Have fun at the gym tonight. I haven't been in a good week... again... Good for you for getting a full grown pup. Adults doggies need love too.

I would have been freaking out! I am a scaredy cat. We have a light in the kitchen that turns on in the middle of the night sometimes. I am like one of those goats that knock out when they are scared so sometimes I can't sleep then that light pops on and I pass out cold!

That is freaky indeed. I would almost be afraid to go alone; you never know what lurks in those dark corners!--

OK yeah that's a bit freaky.

Sounds like a horror movie! Just know that, if you hear a strange sound coming from the garage, power surges DO NOT start up chain saws!
I agree with Steve's (looserobe's) comment here. Rescue dogs are the best! My Dixie is a rescue dog, and she is a beautiful German Shepherd who would have been euthanized if Mary and I hadn't adopted her! What I waste! I love my Dixie-Chick!

To rescue a shelter doggie is much better than buying one. Often you are saving the dog from being put down.

I love the idea of Kraymer being a big brother.
And the whole power thing would unnerve me too. I can't imagine living there and being alone. Freaky.

That is a little strange..never heard of a power surge turning things on....most the time at the house it cuts everything off... Where are yall wanting to move to? I can just see it now...Kraymer dog has a little brother or sister..
