Balance Restored

Last night everything was back to normal with R and I. :0) I knew all was well when he started emailing me during the day about what we can do while in San Francisco. He's the bestest. When I got home I made some banana bread muffins and those chocolate peanut butter thingers. The muffins turned out a bit - um - not the best and I have yet to try a chocolate thinger because the recipe said they was best the next day. That means at lunch time I will be taste testing. :0)

I just learned that we get to leave at 3 on July 3rd. A perk ya don't get in the gov't! At least not where I worked! yay!

My parents are coming in today while I am at work. I can't wait! We'll have fun. Tonight we are going to chill, I am going to make dinner and then we'll prolly watch a movie, then tomorrow my mom and I are going to da hood to see my pal, then I might drag em out to my fave watering hole for karaoke! My parents can hang. hehe Sunday we were going to see if they wanted to cruise DC with the top down in R's car but it's supposed to rain. Bleh. It has rained here more recently than EVER! I hate it. But oh well.

Lately I have been pondering the fact that we share this earth with some seriously twisted souls. Rapists, murderers, people who get off on torture, etc. Does it not baffle you that we share the same air as these people? It freaks me out. Also, if you really think about it, I can see how some people are completely paranoid. If someone WANTS to get you, if they target you, they can most likely get ya. Think about it, unless you are on guard CONSTANTLY - which who is? - We could all succumb. I need to take those self defense classes again. But I mean seriously, what is wrong with these people to begin with? How are they sooooo twisted? I just don't get it.

So if ya missed my humane society post or overlooked it thinking I was being all preachy again, I urge you to take a second look and just send in a simple (pre made) letter to the USDA. If enough voices reach out to them, they will respond! Also, I didn't watch the video. I know what they do to these poor animals and I don't need the reminder. The cool thing is that they don't start it when you open their web page. you have to hit play to see it. ANYWAYS! Pleeeeeeeaaaaaase take 5 minutes now and click on the link on my last post to send an email!!! Please? I beg of you. You too can make a difference! ;0)

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! YAY!

Actually, it seems to let you send them no matter where you're from. They have Canadian provinces listed in the drop down menu. I think they'll take whoever's support they can get.

Karaoke with the folks sounds like a total blast! We once went out with J's parents, and they kept calling his dad up on stage. His dad sings like Elvis and even had a few songs on the radio back in the day -- all Elvis covers of course. (I made sure to click your link on your last post too, btw! Thanks for sharing. )
