This post is for my friends from the north who, for whatever reason, find themselves living in the south, and other parts of the country where they just don't have the fall colors that we have up here. This isn't a banner year, some of the trees are bare already, and brown is more common than bright yellow, orange, and red, but every now and then a patch of something nice looking appears. We took these shots while traveling, and I'll admit that I may have been able to do better had there been places to park along the roads we were on.

pretty!!! Sometimes I miss Binghamton...
Almost makes me home sick---till I remember snow up to my butt
Beautiful! I love fall.
WE're starting to get some color here too. For the first time ever, I'm not looking forward to it. I really want warm weather.
beautiful!!!
Nice
Your Fall season is our hurricanne season--no changing of leaf colors only leafs being blown off trees!!! Thanks for the pictures.
Quite beautiful. We won't have much color this year, it has been too dry.
Thank you. I like the one with the fine-textured canopies and dark limbs and the one where the road turns to the right with all the colors in the background.
You are so lucky to live up there! I would trade you a week this time of year for a couple of weeks at my place.
