Good Sunday Morn, MyBloggerstown:
I can't believe its been almost a month since I've graced these hallowed pages. I am such a slacker. I just don't have a whole lotta motivation to do anything anymore. It's either the heat or my physical condition one.
Not a lot happening here in Cow Snot since Rodeo Days have come and gone.. and with it most of the ijit tourists, although some die hards remain. I know its good for the local economy to have these yahoos running about but they are still a major pain in the ass.
Well, I have found myself yet another primary care physician. He's one of many in one of the bigger practices in town. Seems like a decent guy who has apparently just gotten out of med school/residency and is fairly young(30ish). So he comes in to examine me and holds out his hand for a shake. I hadn't caught his name at first so I asked and he sez "Just call me Ike". So then I'm checking out and making a follow up appointment. I ask the nurse what his last name is:
Me: "I didn't catch the doctor's last name."
Nurse: " Its ridiculous"
Me(chuckling): "Oh, ... a real eye chart huh?'
Nurse: "No, its Ridiculous."
She hands me one of his appointment cards and it reads "Dr. I. B. Ridiculous, MD." Oh, well. I kinda like the idea of having a doctor fresh out of med school. He will not have had a chance to forget all he learned. Anyhoo, we shall see how this works out.
Acording to my nieces Lulubelle and Jethrene, school is gonna start here in a coupla weeks. My god, where did the summer go? Daisy May and Jethro, Jethrene's two, due to the fact that they are Irish Twins(11 months apart) will be in kindergarten, Wednesday and Damien(Lulubelle's two) will be in first grade and second grade respectively. Jeez Louise, I am getting old. I realized the other day that with Mama's passing I am the oldest female in the family. I am a matriarch. Unbelieveable. I do hope those children remember me fondly when they are older and tell their kids about their Auntie Bugg. Sigh.
