Briney Jr. is here but there were some complications. He stopped breathing during birth and they had to medivac him to Denver Children's Hospital. Apparently he was just too large for a normal delivery(8 lbs 9 oz) and Jethrene is not a big girl. (the first two were 5lbs 9oz and 6lbs respectively). Why they did not perform a C section I will never know. Anyhoo, the baby is undergoing a treatment to help counteract any possible brain damage from the lack of oxygen he experienced. At last report he is breathing on his own, crying, sucking on a binky and is able to grasp Daddy's finger. They can't hold him yet and he's being fed intravenouisly until the treatment is complete Wednesday. Briney, Sr. came home yesterday to get some fresh clothing, etc. and fill us in. He showed us pictures. Poor little fella is bristling with tubes and stuff but he is cute as can be. Tomorrow they will do an MRI after his treatment is complete to see if it was a success. We are all praying harder than we ever have that he will come through ok .If so, they might get to bring him home Friday.
