Howdy, Blog Pals:
First, a baby update: Briney Jr. is home and doing well. His latest visit to the pediatrician found him fit as a fiddle and ready for love. No discernable side effects from his rough entry into the world...so far.(Bugg crosses antenae) He was a month old on Monday (the 12th) and is cooing and pooing and eating like a little piggy. Still looks like his Pop. All fam damily is relieved. This is the greatest gift we all could have received.

Next, the weather: It is colder than a witch's you-know-whatty here in Cow Snot ( a high today of 8 whole degrees). 2-3 inches of snow aground. I am hunkering down here in my tawdry little apartment high atop the Shady Pines Senior Complex on bustling Chief Thunderjug Blvd. My heat bill is gonna look like the national debt, but what are ya gonna do?

As ready as I can be for Christmas. All gifts have been purchased, most of them online, thank goodnes. That Amazon Prime is the greatest thing since remote controls and microwave ovens. Wally World is a zoo this time of year not to mention the host of the National B.O. festival, so I try to avoid it when possible. Weather permitting I usually do my shopping in the wee hours (before 9 am) for my essential survival items i.e. Coca Cola, chips, ice cream, beef jerky. The seedier elements of the population are still sleeping it off at that hour and I can shop in relative comfort. All I need to do now is get off my lazy bum and wrap the gifts. I have erected my Charlie Brown Christmas tree and festooned it with tacky lights. It sits atop my printer and can be seen from the street. Hopefully, aircraft from the William H. Bonney municipal airport (and immigrant smuggling station) across the way won't mistake it for landing lights and crash into the building. Believe it or not, this was a reason that the Cow Snot Housing Authority gave us for not hanging Christmas lights on the outside of the building. I am not making this up.
