Good Mawnin' Blog Pals:
Well, according to the calendar, spring has sprung. March 20th here in Cow Snot was picture perfect....about 60 degrees, blue skies, little wind. Fabulous. Today, a mere 4 days later. its chilly, dreary, and drab. I can feel my nose stuffing up, my eyes itching and my lungs filling with mucus. We are going to get a monster snow storm mebbee even two before all is said and done, I predict.
Briney Jr. is 4 months old now and is fit at a fiddle. His last visit to the pediatrician was great. The doctor said he was right were he was 'asposed to be developmentally and he is healthy and strong. So far, no after effects from his ordeal have been observed. He's cooing, smiling, holding his head up, waving his hands and feet around, trying to hold his bottle and is possibly getting some teeth. We are all delighted with his progress.
Otherwise it it SSDD here at Shady Pines. We've had a number of folks become so debilitated that they had to move to assisted living/nursing home facilities. We who remain(but for how long?) pray that the Cow Snot Housing Authority will not replace them with drug dealers, psychos, or ax wielding maniacs, as they have in the past. I'm not making this up. The Cow Snot Housing Authority is not terribly particular when in comes to screening potential tenants. It's pretty much if they have the security deposit and a pulse...in that order. We have implored them to make this a "seniors only" building but so far our pleas have fallen on deaf ears. Granted, seniors can also be drug dealers, psychos, and ax wielding mainacs but....
In an attempt to improve my dietary habits and in observence of the Lentin season, I bought some veggie burgers the other day. I tried them years ago and was unimpressed. So I cooked one up yesterday for lunch and, as long as one doesn't expect it to taste like acutual meat, it wasn't too bad. A little lettuce, tomato, cheese, mayo etc. and it was ok. Of course, I washed it all down with a big ol' Coke. Hey, self sacrifice only goes so far.
Well, that's about all the news that's fit to blog for now, MyBloggerstown. Have a good week-end, everyone.
