What People Aren't Talking About and Why Not?

27+
million people saw Ashton Kutcher make his debut on "Two and a Half
Men" and not ONE critic, blogger, columnist and/or reviewer had a word
to say about a network show revolving around the size of a man's penis!
Okay there is a cable show called "Hung, just about that topic, but
where is all the outrage from the "Family" Right censors who are always
yelling about 'trash' on TV?
(By the way those who are
curious just go to bing.com, images, and look up Ashton Kutcher, nude). I
have never seen this show before and won't look at it again--I am not
interested in his penis and, worse, the show wasn't funny!

********************************************************************

Last
night on HBO they showed a documentary on the history of "DADT" which I
highly recommend all seeing--a lot of information that YOU, or I,
didn't know. I find it very curious that not a blogger--gay or
nongay--acknowledged the end of DADT or had anything to say negative or
otherwise.

******************************************************************

With
millions of STARVING children going to bed, if not to sleep, hungry,
why aren't any of the so-called Republican candidates talking about this
subject? Why aren't any bloggers--people who supposedly care about
Americans--harping on this? Why aren't people from the Tea Party talking
about this or don't they care about children? Why isn't Congress
dealing with this? Why isn't the President tackling this? And, no,
minimum jobs won't feed them and eliminating minimum wage, as some
Republicans are talking about, and paying 3rd world wages, won't feed
them. Where are the churches?

******************************************************************

One
thing I love about liars is their inability to keep their times lines
in order--read this rant, rave, poor little me, I never do/did anything
wrong, why does everyone pick on me--report and no one bothered to
correct the time line or point out their mistakes--I really laughed
through the whole thing and am still surprised no one que3stions the
liars!!!

******************************************************************

On
a completely different subject I am anxiously waiting for the theatre
seasons to return. In two weeks the Broadway touring company of  "Rain"
will open in Fort Lauderdale and two weeks later  "The Addams Family"
and I will be reviewing them for www.corinescorner.com.

Comments:

Like Randy said, we're not big on political commentary here. The Republican party is not talking about the children going to bed hungry because they don't acknowledge the existence of such awkward situations in our Great Republic.

Yep, I found out on that other site that it is only the commie, socialist, liberal kids who are starving--not the Right!!! I want to laugh but that is so sad!

I didn't watch it. I don't really like sitcoms that much.

What is DADT?

People don't talk about hunger and crisis in their own countries because it is easier to talk about more arbitrary issues. Part of my role at the nursery school is outreach and awareness and I see this every day.

And here I thought you would because of your 'particular' interest!!!

"Don't Ask Don't Tell"

When will people realize it is ALL about the kids??? YOU know that already!

Oh!by the way I do not talk to much about politics.
Not smart enough what do say and what not too say.
This is one of the reason that I stay away from this and read you blog to educated me.

Never saw the show and do not care for AShton at all.The show will be a flop in due time. Why aren/t they talking about the war. When do we bring the boys home etc?I am not sure who will get my vote. There is not one person the impressed me.Blessed the Beast and the Children.
They do not care,as long someone put money in my pocket
You made a point there Mr.Martin.

Count me in as one viewer of Two and a Half Men's season opener. I used to watch it regularly, but it got too gross. This hasn't changed, so I'm "one and done". Not funny. Now, Big Bang Theory is "laugh out loud" (I'll refrain from using the overused LOL anagram).
As far as your other topics of interest: DADT was featured extensively on MSNBC (like Rachel Maddow, a lesbian). I just think our mybloggers family is more into "life and events" on a personal level--like a diary. Light and easy. Whenever I tackle a "sensitive" subject, I get skewered! Anyway, you make some good points.

Rachel Maddow a thespian???? A Lebanon??? A LESBIAN?!?!?! Shocked! I am shocked! I don't know what to say!!!!
No, I don't really expect replies to political blogs here--which is good--I get enough of that at the other mad place!

Ashton is creepy.
comment by crazylife on Sept 21, 2011 8:35 PM ()
I don't know about 'creepy'--he has handled his career as an actor and producer--probably never has to work a day in his life again--I have seen him in one movie (where again he was nude) and on Monday and in neither case was he funny or make the movie/show better.
