Jimmy John's Gourmet Sandwiches--restaurant Review

Every
time we go down to 17th Street I look at this place and say that we
have to try it sometime. On Thursday doing the food shopping routine I
suggested to Arnie that after the Dollar Tree and Publix, on the way to
Winn Dixie we stop here and have lunch--and I didn't have a coupon! LOL

I
want to say it is a glorified Subways but it is way more than that. On
the window there is a sign that says "Free Smells" and it is that along
with a sight for the eyes. I don't usually suggest going to the web page
of a restaurant because you know it is a lot of hype but I do suggest
you go to https://www.jimmyjohns.com/franchise/franchise.aspx and read,
under the franchise icon, "The Real Deal and Why Mine Taste Better".

They
have 3 categories of sandwiches consisting of 8" subs ($5.25), giant
club sandwiches at $6.25 and plain slims for $4.25 plus a few
specialities like the J.J. Gargantuan for $8.25. They have many mottos
one of which is "Subs so fast you'll freak!" and it is true. It seems
just as we ordered our sandwiches they were ready. Arnie ordered a #15
tuna club, no cucumbers, ($6.25) while I told the guy at the register
what I wanted without looking at the menu, a basic turkey and cheese
with onions ($6), and before we even went for our fountain sodas ($1.25)
they were ready just as we ordered them!

I
was sort of taken aback at how much help they had, especially since it
was after the lunch rush,  and they all looked busy. The check, with
tax, came to $15.64 but, best of all, the sandwiches were good and
tasted FRESH!

For those on diets, or on a healthy diet, they will replace the bread with thick slices of lettuce that they call the JJ Unwich.

I definitely plan to go back there again and bring along Allen!

Seems like an oxymoron: Jimmy Johns and gourmet. And what does the "God" sign say?

we have one of those here in Cow Snot and I've been meaning to try it. Niece Jethrene sez she and co-workers go there often and like the food.

I loved the etiquette sign and the no-bread idea. It sounds like a great place, let us know when you go back.

That seems to be the new restaurant gimmick--saying all over the place!
