Tremendously Busy!

Ah the joys of the holiday season working at walmart. We have been super busy lately. I come home from work, eat some dinner and go to bed. Seriously, thats all I do. It is not stressful but it does take a toll on you when you have customer after customer.
I have a new friend at work, Dale. He is the manager of shoes and really wants me to come work for him. But I have to have worked 6 months before transferring to somewhere else. He tries to time his breaks for when I am also taking mine. He is also a coffee lover as I am. Now don't get excited that I am cheating on hubby, Dale is gay. He has the best laugh, I can't even describe it. Its very deep and you can just tell he enjoys life. I love talking to him, we talk about all kinds of different things. As I was leaving work yesterday he said I looked a bit frazzled. I laughed and said frazzled does not begin to describe how I feel.
It was a good day, just no end in sight to customers. I had one customer tell me that he felt better giving his money over to walmart when he had a smiling, friendly cashier rather than one who is mad at the world.
If I could have one wish today it would be this, please no more turkeys. They are heavy and slippery because they are frozen. I thought my arms would give out yesterday!
I may not get to reply to your comments, that is just how little time I am on the computer. I am off tomorrow and I don't go in on friday until 2 in the afternoon. I am hoping to catch up on sleep! In between gorging myself on Thanksgiving dinner and treats!

I'm tired of turkeys too. I dropped one the other day because they are so slippery!

I can't imagine how hectic it is for you working at this busiest time of year, gosh I'd be sleeping on the way home lol. Its the fun time o year though, watching other people go crazy when they're out shopping.

One more day of turkeys, but then the present shopping starts. Sounds like you are dealing with the extra load as best you can though. Hopefully come January things will calm down a bit for you, but not a lot.

My daughter works in the food dept.she is or whatever they called manager of that. She does a great job.She was telling me this place is like a zoo.
The other part of the store is quiet and not as busy.
She has been there for some time. They treat her very well.
Funny you mentioned Dale being gay. Most of the guys in Cheryl dept.are
gay and love working with her.I call her a fag hag
She said I know,what can I day.

I can imagine it must be crazy there! Everyone is rushing around trying to get things done for the holidays. The good news is you are probably sleeping really well.
It is great that you have a kawfee pal at work. That always makes things so much more fun.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving!

YAY THANKSGIVING!
I wouldn't be able to do your job because I wouldn't touch the turkeys... I hope your day is FABULOUS!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, Mary. You deserve it.

Be careful not to drop one of those frozen turkeys on your toe, okay? I worked in a grocery store for a long time and did that. It broke my toe and hurt like a son of a b*tch.
