Real Quick Like

I have to be to work at noon so this is a quick one. I worked yesterday noon till nine. I already have some regular customers. Two older guys who love to pick on me. They tried to talk me into leaving work and coming to their house for cocktails. I told them only if dinner was included.
The move is postponed due to weather and the house needing some finishing touches. :(   But maybe during the week we can start moving. I sure hope so anyway. I just want out of this house at this point.
Yesterday at work I had a coughing spell. It gets so dry up there at the registers. I was ringing up a customer and I apologized to her and told her I just needed a drink of water after my line died down. After I was done ringing her up, she came back with a bottle of water for me. I have met some really amazing people in this job!
We had heavy rain at times yesterday but really no wind. The wind came last night after the rain but it felt so good. It was so humid when it was raining! So not much damage here as far as Hannah was concerned.
You all enjoy your sunday!

You meet some nice people, or you can sometimes get a smile from someone who isn't so nice. I've had that happen. When I go to my Wallyworld(as I call it) I always ask the cashier about their day and usually end up chatting. They are always smiling when I leave. I know they work hard and stand there for many hours.

I understand your wanting to get settled. Moving is always a pain in the rear. I've done it enought times that I hate it also. Glad that your enjoying work.

I have a brain shaking cough too, my heads hurts like hell. It was so nice of that lady to buy you water - kudoos to her xx
I came home from work early tonight, a friend of mine offered me a lift, but Roger knew i wouldn't go unless he took me, so he had the other sensei to do the basics and drove me home. I'm supposed to be cleaning, but I thought naaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, i'll catch up with you guys
Hope you feel better soon

In England the cashiers in the grocery stores sit down on the job. As a customer it felt like I was consulting with them not buying groceries. I can't remember exactly how the bagging worked, but I think they just slid the stuff into the bags after sliding it across the scanner. One important difference there is that the stores don't sell huge packages of food like here - people have less storage room in their kitchens and small refrigerators so they shop more frequently.

How frustrating about the delay, but I bet it will be worth it once you have settled in.
