Yesterday

We had a traditional fathers day meal with the kids and
both my extraordinary son and my extraordinary husband got
gifts and chowed down. The air conditioner went out so
we didn't linger long over dinner but it was great to be
with family.

I watered outside this morning and read the paper that
had some interesting articles about laser therapy for
back pain. I am checking into for Ted. He has started trying to exercise and do balancing exercises because his
stroke left him very unsteady on his feet. We were
tremendously lucky that there was not more impairment.

I got the most fabulous ice cream pie. It had a chocolate
crust, a layer of caramel, then a layer of caramel ice
cream and then whipped cream with shaved chocolate and
caramel on top. I only ate one piece because it was so
rich. I made cinnamon rolls for desert last night and
tried a richer dough than I usually make. I can't say
that they were better than the original recipe. I have
to discuss this with Myragene.

At our house it is lasagna. When I have one in the freezer, it is like
money in the bank.

Traditional, as in cookout? I spent my "fathers day" alone. But the highlight was my son calling me from Cal.! Surprise, surprise.

What is a "traditional Father's Day meal"?
Those cinnamon rolls sound yummy.

Sounds like a great day. Would easily go off my diet for a nanosecond to have a piece of that cake. Then, back to deprivation.

I limited myself to one slice. It was heaven.

Everything there sounds wonderful. If I had a piece of that ice cream cake I will die from sweets.Too rich for me.Hope that you get some information on the laser and do remember that you will find this is in infancy or sort.
How about acu puncture?AC went on the fritz. No wonder that we do not have one.

You would have A/C if you lived here. The temperature is frequently over
l00 degrees.

Why is it the air conditioning NEVER goes out when the temperature is any less than 100???I know it's some kind of conspiracy cooked up by the heating and air conditioning companies. I'm wondering if they slip little leprecauns in the units or something

The dining room is the hottest room in my house and it makes lingering at
the table almost impossible.
