I want to be aboard a cruise ship. Just magically transported there with no drive to the port and no hassle getting aboard ship. I just want to sit on the deck with a rum punch in one hand and Ted's hand in the other and watch the sun go down over the ocean.
I will soon be there, doing just that if nothing crazy happens. Of course we will still have the drive and the hassle but it is all worth it. That is my favorite vacation because I love ships and the ocean so much. I love the motion of the ship and being rocked to sleep at night.
I miss home and my loved ones and my animals but I try to forget about them and just have fun. Rex has a lovely place to board and China does just fine alone. Celeste will care for Bouncer and check on China.
I hear so many negative things about our young people that I have to tell you about an incident sort of connected with our cruise. I went to Dillards to get Ted a bow tie for his tux. A pretty little Japenese girl waited on me and I commented that 39.50 was a little high but I needed it and so I bought it. They only had one. I continued to shop and was far from the men's department when this girl came running up to me and said, "I found another one just like it and it is ten dollars cheaper, wouldn't you rather have it? Of course I would. She was so sweet and helpful and we chatted for a few minutes. I couldn't help thinking that the We generation is pretty great. Of course most of my grandchildren are that generation and I think they are pretty great too.
