Sturday

The holiday is here and we are going to have Bobby cook steaks for tomorrow nights dinner. I am going to try
Myragene's Spinach and Artichoke casserole. We love
that combination. I went to the grocery store earlier and
I am used to prices at the commissary and Aldi's and was
stunned at the price of dog food. It was l.08 a can for a
good brand. Rex would certainly have a high grocery bill,
being such a huge dog if I fed him that.

I will have time tomorrow to prepare because we are going
to eat at five. I am wondering what to have for dessert.
I am thinking angel food cake cov ered with strawberries and
ice cream or whipped cream.

I am going to fix baked beans and the girls will have to
have mashed potatoes and gravy. That and a salad is my
menu. I have the steak thawing right now. Bobby has a
wonderful smoker-grill and he is a good cook.

I hope you have a nice time. I will let you know how my
casserole turns out.

It is on kitchen tales (Laura's) blog in detail. And it is easy and would almost be like a main dish. There are several things like squash casserole
that make meat a non essential.

Your menu reads like a 4 thumbs up event.
Baking a cake, in this heat?
AND that is a perfect choice. I haven't had angel cake in years, I used my angel cake class pan to plant some zebra plants
Enjoy it all

Have a wonderful family dinner. It's not even 50 degrees here today for a high.

It is hot here. In the high eighties. I made brownies for the girls and
as soon as my crust chills, I will make an apple pie. Bobby begged for it
and we like it too.
