Are we all at loss for a dearth of blogging material? I know that my life is slogging along with no excitement but
then that can be a good thing. I don't crave a crisis.
The grandchildren have had lots of activities. Adrienne had
a trumpet solo at Tuesday's band concert. Ashley is playing
soccer and I am looking forward to her games because I love
soccer. I am anxious to see if she is rough enough for the
sport.
I have been immersed in BBC and historical drama every night. Our library has lots of dvds and I just finished
Wives and Daughters last night. It was very good. I am
going to have to adjust my mind set because I also brought
home, "The heart is a Lonely Hunter" and "Women in Love"
which will get me back to the 2lst century.
Ted is finishing up his tiger painting. I am longing for
it to get warm enough to work in the yard. I need a lot of
new dirt for Rex's holes and to start tomatoes and peppers.
My mother used to plant veggies early and then put little
paper tents over them and I think I will use that method.
I had peppers all summer but my tomatoes didn't do well.
I am reading a witty and delightful book by Martha Grimes.
It is called "The Fadeaway Girls" and to appreciate it
you would have to read the Hotel Paradise series. I love
her Richard Jury mystery novels too.
