Yesterday was still cool and beautiful. I had a million chores that needed doing but when my son called and asked us
over for dinner and a movie, I didn't have to be asked twice. Ted didn't want to leave so I went alone. I think I
have mentioned before that Ellie has become an excellent
cook. This is quite an achievement because Russian cuisine
is very different. She had made a Paula Deene bacon cheese
burger meat loaf. The recipe is on Food Network. It is the
best meat loaf I have ever had.
Bobby had gotten "Sweet Bird of Youth" from the library with
Paul Newman and Geraldine Page. We both love Tennesee Williams and this is one of my favorites. Paul Newman was very young and breathtakingly handsome and Ed Begley and
Geraldine Page did an outstanding job. Ellie didn't appear
to like it much but Bobby and I were spell bound. I didn't realize the movie was extra long until I got home and looked
at the clock and saw that Ted felt deserted.
It is time to purchase theatre tickets this year. "Rent"
is the first musical on offering. So is "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" which just makes me
howl with laughter. I am looking forward to it.
