Horror,

I noticed that Phyllis was having Renee take my calls and
I wondered if I had done something to offend her. I figured
it out last night. Avis's house will not close on time and
the woman has to have possession on l4th. All because
her hot shot five million a year son didn't get the trust
documents faxed to the title company in time. That leaves us with Avis staying here for two nights or more since she
won't spend the money for a hotel. I had told Phyllis that
she better get it closed on time because Ted had put his
foot down and said she couldn't stay here. Sure enough,
Avis called last night and the closing will be delayed and
she asked if she could stay here. I couldn't refuse and
Ted couldn't either because he has a softer heart than I
do.

So...Avis talks continuously and tells you the same thing
over and over. She brags constantly about how much money
her children make. She is on a special diet...salt and
sugar free and low fat. Send good thoughts our way. We
hope that we are stacking up good Karma.

Last night Bobby asked us to come over and watch Patrick
Stewart in a modern day version of McBeth. I hated the
modern dress and the elimination of some of Lady McBeth's
lines. Patrick Stewart sucked but whoever played Lady
McBeth was magnificent. It should have been done in
costume because there was no way to convey how Dunstin
Woods would march to McBeth's castle. It is on netflix
so if you get a chance be sure and watch it just for Lady
McBeth's performance.

Bobby is bringing over hamburgers and I am doing the rest.
Lane made his grill and smoker and it is the best. Have
a good fourth.

Hope the house closes soon for the sake for yours and Ted's sanity.

I wonder if there's the potential for a reality TV show here somewhere? Sorry I haven't been keeping up on your posts.

I am definitely not a saint but we can do this.

Sneak valium into her food? Rig the bed so it collapses the day before she is due and allegedly can't be fixed? Guest bathroom breakdown? I would never do any of these things, but reserve the right to do so in the future.

Valium sounds good to me.

You're a good friend indeed, Jeri. And, as always, this, too, shall pass.

Yes, let us hope the time goes swiftly.

Yes, you are soft! Is Avis there now or arriving on the 14th? Have a fun cookout!

She is still in her house but has to be out on the l4th. If the loan
hasn't closed she will have to stay with us until it does.

Fredo, I know perfectly well that you are a friend in need.

Hmm.. if being soft brings good karma, I'm in deep do-do.... but you should do well! Happy Fourth!

Maybe in the next life I will get to be a cat owned by Laura, Teal or
Jondude. Preferably a pretty one.
