The Hordes

We had what seemed like a zillion tiny black bugs invade my little garden. I sprayed them with Sevin and most of
them died but a few tried to follow me in to the house. I
ended up spraying the back door as well and now it has a
combination of dog drool and black bugs on it. I need to
spray it with glass cleaner.

It has been very hot. One hundred or hovering near there
most days. We are due for some rain on Wed.

Henry came this morning. The grass was so high after the
nice rains we had last week. He brings his grandson and
has him outfitted with ear muffs and leather gloves. He
is nine and sullen as all get out. He does not have Henry's
work ethic and does his little jobs sloppily and in a very
grudging manner. Henry told Ted that he had paid this
child 600 dollars to help him over the summer but it
hasn't sweetened his disposition and it takes Henry ten
minutes longer to do the yard with grandson than
without him.

I went shopping with Ellie and the girls for school clothes.
Ashley is l2 and nearly six feet tall. She is wearing size
eleven shoes and they are pretty hard to find. It is hard
to believe that these little girls are growing up so fast.
She goes in for quantity and Adrienne prefers quality. I
hope they have good school years.

Do the girls tower over you? I envy your relationships with your family.

Yes. I am five feet, one inch and I am dwarfed by all my grandchildren except for Sara who is tiny. I am glad they all got the tall gene because
my sister, who married a short man, has all short children and it is
handicapping for her boys.

Get Ashley a basketball for her next gift. She'll end up supporting the whole extended family...

This is a wonderful idea. I would love to see her play on O. U.'s team.

How does she feel about her height?they do have something out there to stop the growth if she wants it.Just saying. Our garden not doing too well.We has so much rain in Early spring and most of the plants are stunned by all of this.We have given up some and thanks goodness for the local farmers with fresh vegetables.

I think she will probably be six feet tall. Her paternal heritage is for tall
people. She is going to be slender as well and that is a good thing.

I wear size 10 1/2 shoes, and can understand Ashley's dilemma. There is never much selection at that end of the spectrum. Of course, I'm always looking at the off-price stores like TJ Maxx and Ross.

Marshall's was our destination and it had a pair of elevens but they were too wide. Could we say that she has a good under standing or would that
be too wicked a pun?
