Gray Day

There is something gray about today. The weather is extremely muggy and there is a hint of moisture in the air.
It is the perfect day to curl up with a good book and I have a whole big basket of new ones. I have one written by a neurologist who says that multi tasking is rewiring our brains and promoting ADHD in young people. He cites a time when he first noticed it. He was watching a program and his attention was split by the crawlers at the bottom of the screen. I guess you are not supposed to exercise, eat popcorn and watch your favorite program at the same time.
Be warned.

I copied Laura's bread pudding recipe and may make it for supper. I had the bread pudding recipe that they use at Commander's Palace in New Orleans. I made it and it is far too rich since it takes a dozen eggs. I'll bet Laura's is better. I don't have any Amaretto but I'll bet a vanilla sauce would still be good.

I can see how multi-tasking has given us all ADHD. It has gotten to where I feel like something is wrong if I'm not doing at least two things at once such as watching TV or a movie while working on the computer or an knitting project. And like they said, we can't even watch one TV program, we have to put up with all the little promotion banners on the bottom of the screen. Our cell phone is only for emergencies so I'm glad to say we don't drive and talk on the phone or worse send text messages.

My mother made bread pudding and I did too years ago, but I have forgotten how. Now I eat other people's!

I copied it too...I absolutely love bread pudding. I'll go with a vanilla sauce too, as it is more to my liking. You are right. It is a good day to curl up with a book; and that is exactly what I plan to do as soon as I have a bite of lunch. Enjoy your reading. I have just started Texas by Michener.

Yes,bread pudding could be rich. Can you use egg beaters than
real eggs.I think that you can do this on low fat.check out
Googles they have an answer for everything.
I would rather have the Vanilla sauce than the Amaretto.
Though I liked it,but on the wagon.
