December 26 or 5 Days Until 2011

Being ancient makes me wonder if I can make it another
year. When I was young, I thought I was immortal. Funny how your mortality sneaks up on you.

Christmas was great and my daughter and grandaughters were
just the icing on the cake. It has been fun for Ted and I.
Ted has a horrible painting of lilacs on his easel and he
is trying to make it better. I would junk it.

I got to shop and spend my gift card at Kohls. I went at
6:30 a. m. and the poor baby behind the counter was so
sleepy. However, being an early bird paid off and I bought
3 turtle neck sweaters..cotton, I can't stand wool because
it makes me itch. I got pink, white and gray. I also got
a pair of boots and a black knit top.

I should have bought some Christmas stuff at 70 percent
off but I wasn't in the mood.

Ted and I had lifeline screening. When the MRI and the
screening didn't show any changes, he decided to exercise
and it is really helping him perk up and be Ted again. He
still has medical problems but both of us came out ok on
the screening. I am exercising too but would so much
rather walk outside than on the treadmill.

Resolutions anyone?

I like your resolve and "youthfulness". I make daily resolutions all the time.

Balance is important but we all if we are honest enjoy material comforts.I
will of course have a small estate that will benefit my children since
their father's screwed them both over. This makes me furious every time
I think of it.

glad that things turned out well there.
Resolutions never make them.

Never?

Resolutions don't work for me, some of it is the word itself, so I call them plans, and write it out as a to-do list. But they aren't behavioral things, it's tasks like Get a generator at the cabin.

I make those same sorts of resolutions and this year it is bite the bullet
and suffer the discomfort of having two guys in the house for a week while
we get new carpet.

I am so glad all was well with the MRI screening I have had the same thoughts as you as far as 'next year' are concerned, but quickly cast them aside and concentrated on the 'now'. I intend to be sitting here, talking to you next boxing day, talking about the 'following years' forth coming events Positive thought

My mind goes there now but I am reminded of one of my former mil's who lived to be l02. Perhaps we will make it that far.

None of us live forever, but I hope you live for many more years. You are so very dear to many, and your grandchildren have just learned to enjoy your warm and wondeful presence.

I love life, Dottie but one can never predict the future. I think of Dallas whose money was so important to him t hat he was reluctant to
spend any of it. His step sons will reap the benefit. He even limited the amount of toothpaste he put on his toothbrush.

That mortality thing sucks. I think of that 'rainy day" saying and wonder if it's raining yet. I'd really hate to leave things behind when I could be using them ($ in particular) now. Ah.. balance..

I replied twice and both are above. Let's just get all the gusto we can
now.
