Computer Hell

I have been without a computer for most of the last two
weeks. Bobby is to ill to even tell him about it because he
wants to do things for me so I swore Adrienne to secrecy and
had Computer Whiz come out and fix it. It was well worth it
because Ted's frustration level is so high that he just wanted
to throw his lap top and my desk top away and buy new. His
dementia seems to grow worse daily and his patience shorter.

It is finally warm enough to plant flowers and vegetables.
I worked in the yard yesterday and put out 4 tomatoes and
2 peppers. I may do a couple of yellow squash and a cuke
later. I have four new hydrangeas but I lost a lot of
flowers due to the harsh winter. I planted Sweet Williams
today and something called Bloody Mary.

I have been reading a lot for entertainment. The library is
my good friend.

One of my neighbors has a beautiful Doberman. He was given
something to eat that made him deathly sick. She found rib
bones in her back yard so it must have been deliberate. I
can't imagine the mentality of someone who would deliberately hurt an animal. She was able to save him at a
huge cost in Vet bills which she really could not afford.
She and her husband do lawns and she works at Ace Hardware
in the plant department. It is sort of like two catastrophes in one.

I don't have to remind you that even people who aren't well can get a great deal of satisfaction and pleasure from doing things for others. But anyway, So nice to hear about planting. I have garlic sprouting and I hope that it realizes the temps next Tuesday and Wednesday night will again be in the 20s even tho we hit 60 yesterday for the first time this spring!

I know, but my child who is so pale and almost bald can hardly go to his
kids functions. We went together to Adrienne's induction into the Natl.
Honor Society and we had to leave early. I love him so much and feel so
helpless.

Glad you got your computer fixed. Had also to deal with not being able to access web sites including e mail. Ed figured out the modem needed re-setting. Bless him. Your neighbors need to be extra vigilant because if people want to harm your dog, they will find a way. Now dealing with a slowly recovering kitty, but his mouth is bleeding and nothing much you can do for teeth in a 12-yr-old cat. They will do him in I fear. So very sad about it. He knows, too. So sorry you are dealing with dementia. Know only too well how devastating it is to watch someone you love lose ability. You are in my thoughts.

This morning I was hoping it was just your computer and not more shooting in the house even though the guns are gone. Gosh! I still can't get over that. I was getting ready to call you to make sure you were okay, but company came, so I didn't get around to it.

Hopefully the guns are a non issue now. The memory is so impaired now. He
worries a lot about appointments and other trivial things. I keep duplicate
calendars now so he always has one.

Years ago someone used to throw big soup bones over the fence for our Norwegian Elkhound, Tana. The bones didn't agree with her so we left a note on our fence asking them to please stop and they did.
I am ashamed at how addicted I am to my computer.

Yes, sometimes it is eighty and sometimes it is 40. Just typical Oklahoma
weather.

Growing things do us good. I just got a packet of flower seeds inside an Easter card a friend sent. Hydrangeas are one of my favorites, I hope you post pictures when they bloom.

They are in bloom now. Some pinks and some blues but the blues are my
favorites.

Geez! How terrible about her dog! I'd be so angry but aside from installing cameras what can you do? Frustrating!!!! Did she report it to the police? Hope so.
Also your computer situation is frustrating. Boo. Glad it's ok now.
I'm happy that the library and planting are helping to balance things out.

This is a neighborhood of retired people and the police are so helpful but
I bet she didn't report it. When Ted shot himself in the foot they made a
follow up call to me to see if I needed any thing. They dissed Rex by saying
he wasn't much of a watch dog but I forgave them.
