Christmas Week

It seems as though I am underwater in slow motion this
week. Almost everything is done. The house is clean and
the cooking is last minute. Today is the big grocery shopping day at Tinker Air Force Base.

I took Adrienne and Ashley shopping for new dresses
yesterday and out to lunch. I tried to get Ellie to buy
something for herself but she was too intent on outfitting
the girls. We got three dresses for Adrienne and two for
Ashley. Ashley and I see eye to eye on fashion and Adrienne
and Ellie are more conservative. Adrienne really needed
new dresses for concerts and honors banquets. She picked
out two black ones and a navy blue. I don't like black
on young girls.

We always have Chinese when we go out to lunch. Bobby is
almost living on ensure and boost so we didn't take him any
and Ted doesn't care for Chinese. We can indulge ourselves.

Rex is acting like a puppy. I have been giving him a very
expensive joint treat but I have also been feeding him a
can of tuna a couple of times a week. I don't know which
one is responsible for his vim and vigor. He is back to
stealing things, (always mine) and wanting to play games
with me.

I hope that everyone has a good holiday and a delicious
Christmas dinner.

both my nieces, Wednesday, 10 and Daisy May 10 had black dresses for their school Christmas programs..but they had little sparkly things all over them so it didn't look like they were in mourning

reguards
yer I would have chosen red or green but I'm an old fuddy duddy pal

So glad Rex has perked up. Here's hoping he lives to 115 in dog years.

We do too. He is one of the very best dogs we have ever had and I do
believe the tuna helps.

Sounds like a lovely Christmas for you all.

We hope so. I love the clamor and excitement of the day and then relish
the quiet when it is over.

Benny has balance issues sometimes but he still bounds around the yard. He's older than Rex, so hopefully Rex has some good years coming.

Golden Retrievers don't live to a ripe old age and the Vet thinks he is
not long for this world and won't clean his teeth anymore. He is defying
her by frisking around like a pup.

How fun, the girls shopping trip.... Sounds like things are under control there- completely opposite of here! Glad Rex is doing well.

We are proud of him. We give him Adequon shots for his joints and and
a Glucosimine/condrition treat. I love shopping with the grandaughters.

I don't think stores used to even sell dresses in black for girls when I was young. Doesn't seem right to me either. And what is the joint medicine you give Rex? I will keep this (and tuna) in mind for when I have a dog again.

There were scads of black dresses and my DIL thinks black is always
suitable, however I would have liked to see Adrienne in red or blue. I
applauded Ashley for insisting on a white dress as well as the black one.
Rex gets Adequon shots for his joints monthly and the joint treats. I
think the tuna is very good for him.
