We Won Big Time

It was a pleasure to watch O. U.'s victory over Florida State. I only watch two teams, O.U. and Clemson. Ted and I
both took classes at O. U. and are very loyal. I like to
watch Clemson games because they are a come from behind team. You can bet your boots that red impala was at the O. U. game or avidly watching it on t.v.

We are going to have to get new carpet sooner or later. I
dread it because of the tear up and mess. I am trying to
hold out until July and wondering if it is worth it to
have it cleaned again this fall.

Ted and I certainly have dissimalar tastes in tv. He loves cage fighting, car racing, space movies and action thrillers. He usually records the Sunday night British funnies for me. I laughed so hard at the being served one
that tears rolled down my cheeks. I think John Inman is the
funniest man on the planet. My tastes run to comedy or the Jane Austin novels that BBC dramatises,

I am packed except for last minute things and so ready to
go. I always swear that I will never take another Carnival
Cruise but Carnival and Royal Carribean have the port at
Galveston sewed up. We just have to put up with their
inefficient loading and unloading. We prefer Norwegian
because of their efficiency getting you on and off the ship.
They mostly leave from New Orleans or Florida.

Football, renovations, TV time, cruises, and of course, reading: life is full of activities of your own choosing. Wonderful!

Yes, I am not good at being dutiful. Reading can take over my life.

Have you thought about wood or laminated wood instead of carpeting? It is so nice with pets and easy to keep clean.Boy, do I have a lot of posts to catch up! Where have I been?

Yes, I have considered wood and would love it in the whole house since I had wood floors at the farm. It would be awfully expensive to have it done. Ted is no longer able to put it down.

We needed carpet in our Denver house for the whole 10 years we lived there, but we couldn't agree on a color or pattern. I asked him what color he'd like and he said 'multicolored.' Like a tweed? I asked. 'No, like a casino.' There you go, with divergent tastes like that how could we ever pick something?

So far we have settled for anything that doesn't show dirt, although dirt colored carpeting isn't exciting. Rex occasionally barfs on it and Ted is very careless about tracking stuff in.

When we are going on the cruise in February We're Prolly going thru Norwegian so I'm excited to hear that They are efficient. I like your taste in TV!

The Norwegian free style really suits us because we hate to be regimented.
They often greet you with champagne and mimosa's and they can get you off and on board quickly. The staterooms aren't as pretty as on Carnival or
Royal Caribbean but a lot of them have little refrigerators which is nice.
Have Fun!!!

Well congratulations on your team. Do the carpet before it gets hot. Ed and I have some similar tastes but diverge violently on a lot. He loves action movies and I only like a certain kind. I won't watch a war movie for recent wars, but the ones made 50 years ago are okay. I like comedy and romantic comedy. He will click away from any love scene. And, of course, there are those Japanese samurai movies. Oh, help. I, too, love most British comedy and love the old series. Do you remember "Good Neighbors", "To the Manor Born", and "Yes, Minister"?

I don't remember seeing the shows that you mentioned. Ted can hardly watch Keeping Up Appearances because Hyacinth is so dreadful. The Vicar of
Dibley is my all time favorite. I didn't start watching them until June
got me started about a year ago
