The Pace Has Stepped Up

I seem to have been unusually busy and haven't gotten a lot
done. Part of it is having the grand daughters every
afternoon. We always look forward to it. Ted is not their
blood grandfather but they adore him and he does love them
too.

I have just finished the same book Kristylyn is reading, "
The Hour I First Believed" by Wally Lamb. One of the
things that really made me think were the lines about how all of your acestors are like a river that runs deep in
your mind and heart. We are all unique but shaped by
what has gone before.

I am anxious to get a signed copy of Dottie's book too. For
now, I need something light. Ashley brought home a charming children's book about four witches. I wrote stories
for Adrienne and Sara but didn't for the other kids. I
think that it was that they both were such early talkers.
They did sentences at about 8 or 9 months and Adrienne had
an imaginary friend that sh e called Nadine. We had no idea
how she arrived at that name. However, her father had an
imaginary friend named Davy and his playmate thought Davy
was real too. They learn so fast and so much when they
are that age.

It is getting to be my bed time but I had to check in. I
was fascinated by Kitchen Tales mother and her bread baking.
Good night.

My older son had an imaginary friend also. I set place for him at the table and we "all" acknowledged him. He was an early talker also and was the one who told all the family secrets to the neighbors. One told me they loved to have him visit!!!

Do you ever dream the ending, Kev. Some of the time I dream stories and
when I can't sleep will have to try your method.

Take a look at what nangrey has to say in her post "This and That" about how it's the characters that make for a good story. I've read books where I liked the characters so much I was sorry the story had to end because I was going to miss spending time with them.

I think I get more and more involved with the characters that Elizabeth
George has in her books. I get so mad when she kills one off and I want
Barbara Havers to finally be happy. She is one of my favorite authors because I read for pleasure.
