Technorati Blog Reactions

I have placed a small widget in the "Stats" section of each blog. Its functionality is described below:

Link Count Widget

Imagine if you could display the number of links to your blog in real-time - updated live for all your visitors. That's what you get with the Technorati Link Count Widget. It's a simple piece of code that lets you make your site or blog more dynamic.

Technorati tracks when other bloggers link to your blog. We call them "reactions" to encourage readers to follow the conversation.

UPDATE! There seems to be a lot of confusion regarding the purpose of this utility. HERE is a link that will take you to the page that describes it in a bit more detail.

Sorry, the "Technorati Blog Reactions" does nothing for me. Maybe cool for some, but not me. I do however appreciate all the "cool changes" you have made since "Blogster". Now, what I would really like to see is you work on the "chat" thing. I know many would come in with minor changes. Take care man... Gary

I want that webrevolutionary.com link removed from my blog - I didn't add it, it looks like advertising for a product I know nothing about, and I don't want visitors to my blog to think I put it there. Please! Take it off. You must have put it there, so please take it off. Thanks.

Eddie here's my take on it: if I make you a buddy, that creates a link back to your blog and you get a point on technorati for it. Is that correct? I'm still confused about it!

Wait a minute. I think I have a revelation here. You mean, if Blog X logs onto my blog, say, 10 times a month, that only counts as 1 technorati "point", where it would be 10 visitor "points." Is that right?

Eddie, maybe you can go imto a little more detail regarding the 'new' widget and explain it to us not so smart Internet nerds--for instance, I looked at my last blog and it says I had 53 reactions--is that to all my over 500 blogs or does that mean only 53 people have ever read my blogs--or have 53 people responded to THAT blog--what does that figure mean???
IF only 53 people have linked to my blog(s) I gather I am writing for a pretty small 'audience' right?

I'm still scratching my head about this, I got loads of questions about it but to save myself from too many blonde moments i'm going to see if other people ask first.
